Inflamenation - Axe Throwing

What a night! The lab swapped our usual white coats and precise pipettes for a far more... unpredictable tool. 😉

It's easy to get lost in the intricate world of neuroscience. The pressure to innovate and the meticulous nature of our work can take a toll. So, stepping out of that focused environment and into the raw, exhilarating world of axe throwing was the perfect release.

It was an absolute blast seeing everyone de-stress, have a laugh, and cheer each other on, regardless of where the axes landed (or bounced!). There's something truly humbling—and hilarious—about a visiting student's perfect throw being followed by a PI's axe tumbling harmlessly to the floor. These moments break down the lab's usual hierarchy and remind us that we're a team.

Laughter and friendly competition build stronger bonds and a more supportive environment, which ultimately translates to better science. A huge thanks to the entire team for bringing their competitive spirit and, most importantly, their fantastic energy!
