MS Research & Information Event
I had a fantastic afternoon yesterday in King's Lynn at the MS Research & Information Event, hosted in partnership with the MS Society and the Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair (CCMR).
It was a privilege to co-introduce the day alongside Professor Alasdair Coles, discussing the objectives of our work and the CCMR trial. We also heard inspiring updates from a brilliant group of researchers—Daniela Soares Regua, Cyrus Daruwalla, Michael Perry, Stavros Vagionitis, and Will Brown—who shared how their work is advancing the understanding and treatment of MS.
However, the most valuable part of the event for me was the opportunity for Patient and Public Involvement (PPI). As researchers, it is vital that we don't just present our work, but that we listen. This event allowed us to speak directly with people living with MS, their families, and friends, giving them a platform to share their experiences and help shape our future research priorities.
A huge thank you to Gina Rutterford and the MS Society for organizing such a meaningful event, and to everyone who attended and shared their stories with us.
